This website is run by Come Bach to Kindness / ARK (“we”, “us”, “our”). We’re a small, personal/community project based in the UK, focused on encouraging everyday acts of kindness.

We take your privacy seriously and want to explain, in plain language, what we do with any information you share with us.

1. What information we collect

We may collect:

  • Information you give us directly

    • Your name

    • Your email address

    • Your phone number (if you choose to share it)

    • Any messages you send us through our contact form

    • Any stories, feedback or ideas you choose to submit

  • Information collected automatically

    • Basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the site

    • This may be collected through cookies or similar technologies if/when we add simple analytics in future.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your messages and enquiries

  • Keep a record of kindness stories or feedback you choose to share

  • Improve the website and the way we explain the project

  • (In future) send you email newsletters if you choose to sign up

We will only send you newsletters or similar updates if you have clearly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Because we are based in the UK, we follow UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

  • Use reasonable security measures to protect it

  • Contact form messages: usually up to 2 years, unless we need to keep them longer for project records or you ask us to delete them sooner.

  • Stories and testimonials: for as long as they are relevant to the project, or until you ask us to remove or anonymise them.

We do not sell your personal data.
